How to Start Your Day With Bags Full of Energy

There is a very common problem throughout the world with people who want to burn the midnight oil as they don’t feel tired, but never want to leave their bed in the morning. The reason for this lack of a willingness to start the day is because your body does not have the right amount of energy which it needs to really get up and go. Thankfully, if you are struggling with this issue, there are steps that you can take that will ensure you have the right amount of energy to get your day off to the perfect start. Let’s take a look at what you need to do.

Routine First

Much of the reason why you don’t feel energetic when you wake up will come down to a lack of a routine. When you are in a sleep routine where you go to sleep and wake up at the same time each morning and night, your brain becomes wired to this routine. This means that your brain knows when it needs to begin to shut down, and also when to wake up. Try to get yourself into a regular routine and after just 1 week you will really see the difference.

Morning Challenges

Once you have forced yourself out of bed, there are some things which you can do to wake your body up. The first step is to open all of the curtains and some windows to allow in sunlight and some fresh air. Second, take a shower as soon as possible, this will help you to feel fresh and ready to attack the day. Finally, and something that has worked wonders for me, is to make a cup of coffee after a shower. I like to use a French press to make my coffee as this gives me more to focus on than just putting granules into some hot water. With a French press coffee maker, there is a lot more to do than simply add granules and this helps to get me focussed, plus the coffee gives you a nice kickstart to the day.

Food and Drink

On an evening it is vital that you avoid heavy foods or drinks other than water in the 3 to 4 hours before you sleep. In terms of food, filling yourself up before bed will mean that your body will be spending its rest time, breaking down the foods which you have put into your body before bed, leaving you with a lack of energy when you wake up. When it comes to drinks, the key is to avoid caffeine and sugary drinks before bed as this will give you trouble sleeping, and difficulty waking up and feeling energetic. As part of your routine, try to ensure that you are avoiding foods and drinks on an evening so that you can wake up with bags full of energy.

With these simple steps, you can find yourself waking up and raring to go each and every morning.
